This lesson introduces another popular fingerpicking style, Blues guitar. The most frequently used chord progressions in Blues is the 12 Bar Blues. A Blues progression is generally constructed from the three primary chords in a key, as illustrated in the table below. These three chords are referred to as the 1, 4 and 5 chords. The Roman numerals relate to the 1st, 4th, and 5th notes of the major scale from which each chord takes its name.
