Combining Melodies and Accompaniment

Once you have control of the left hand pattern introduced in the previous lesson, the next thing to do is to combine it with the right hand. In this exercise the right hand also plays two notes at once. Practice each hand separately at first if necessary.

This time the right hand plays full chords. At each chord change, both hands move in opposite directions. This may be difficult at first but it happens frequently in music, so keep at it.

Once again you may find it useful to practice each part separately.
