A swing rhythm can be created by tying the first two notes of the triplet group together.
The two eighth note triplets tied together in the previous example can be replaced by a quarter note.
To simplify notation, it is common to replace the 8 with 6, and to write at the start of the piece 8 = 6 as illustrated in the following example.
This electric resonator guitar is great for playing the Blues. It has the resonator cone which picks up the acoustic sound and gives the guitar its distinctive tone, as well as an electric pickup so it can be played through an amp. It works equally well for fingerpicking or using a pick. With heavy strings it is extremely suitable for slide playing. By putting lighter strings on this guitar, you can also get great sounds when bending notes.
