A Final Solo
To finish off this lesson, here is a 12 bar Blues solo in twelve eight time. Listen to the redording to hear how the drum part locks in with the bass and the guitar. This is very important when playing with a band.
On the recording of this example, the right hand switches to the ride cymbal the second time through and the whole drum part contains several variations, see if you can work them out by ear. This is an important skill to develop. Start working out the drum parts from some of your favorite albums.
