The previous example demonstrates what is called a chord progression, meaning a series of chord changes. Chord progressions are common in all styles of music and the more you know, the more songs you will be able to play. Here is another chord progression using the chords G and D7. While you are learning this progression, try to read slightly ahead of where you are playing.
This is so you don’t lose your place as you move from the end of the first line to the beginning of the second. This is a good principle to apply when reading any music.
