Inversions and Arpeggios

Here are some more inversions which are commonly used together. This time the C chord is a first inversion, the F chord is in root position and the G chord is second inversion.

This time the C chord is a second inversion, the F chord is a first inversion and the G chord is in root position.

Now try this example which moves between all the inversions from the previous two examples. All the chords here are played as arpeggios (one note at a time).

Here is another famous song played here in a simple style using arpeggios for the accompaniment.

To finish off Section 1, here is a typical Country progression using inversions lower down on the piano. This time the C chord is a second inversion, the F chord is a first inversion and the G chord is in root position.
