Open E Tuning

Open E tuning is the same as open D tuning but is one tone higher in pitch. This causes a slightly different sound. To put the guitar in this tuning raise the third string a semitone and the fourth and fifth strings a tone.

The basic chord shapes are the same as the shapes in open D tuning, but the chords sound one tone higher.

The fingering for the Blues scale is the same as the open D tuning Blues scale.
