Sixteenth Notes
Most Funk music is based on an underlying rhythm of sixteenth notes. Sixteenth notes are usually counted 1 e + a 2 e + a, etc as shown in the following example.
Here is the C Blues scale played in sixteenth notes over two octaves. Take it slowly at first.
