Whole Rest

Lesson 2/20 | Study Time: 5 Min
Whole Rest

Whole Rest

This is a whole rest, sometimes called a semibreve rest. It lasts for four beats or counts. There is one whole rest in a measure of * time.

In this song, your right hand plays on the treble staff and then your left hand plays the same thing on the bass staff. Keep your hands in the correct position even when you are not playing a note.

This time both hands play together. Even though the right hand is on the treble staff and the left hand is on the bass staff, the names of the notes played by each hand are the same. Sing the names of the notes as you play this song.
