Melody and Chords

Lesson 3/20 | Study Time: 5 Min
Melody and Chords

Melody and Chords

In the last lesson you learned that one hand can play a melody and the other hand can play harmony notes which support the melody. Playing chords is the most common way of adding harmony under a melody.

In this song, the right hand plays the melody while the left hand plays a C chord as harmony for the melody. Learn the melody first and then play both hands together.

The Note B on the Bass Staff

In this song the C note is played with the fourth finger of your left hand.
