This book is designed to provide you with all the necessary techniques to enable you to use the tapping technique from beginner standard to professional level.
Before using this book it is important to have some practical experience playing the Bass Guitar (see Progressive Bass Guitar by Gary Turner & Brenton White or Progressive Beginner Slap Bass by Peter Gelling). No previous knowledge of music theory is assumed as all the necessary notation and harmony concepts are introduced in the book. Both music and tablature notation are used to show where to find the notes on the fretboard of the Bass
SECTION ONE - Introduces the left hand hammer technique (i.e., hammer-attack, hammer-on and cross-hammer) and the right hand tapping technique. Section one also introduces theory with practical application of intervals, triads, chords, scales and arpeggios, using both the left and right hands.
SECTION TWO - Standard chord progressions and melody lines are played using both hands, incorporating patterns, licks and riffs in the most common keys using various styles of playing. Section Two also introduces harmonics and Classical studies.
