Tapping / Hammering Mixed

Lesson 8/21 | Study Time: 5 Min
Tapping / Hammering Mixed

Tapping / Hammering Mixed

It is now possible to combine the Hammer - Attack (using the left hand) with the Tapping Technique (using the right hand.)

Play the low note first (HA), then add the second note ( L ) on top so that both ring together as an octave.

The left hand hammers the same note while the right hand moves melodically up and down.

Create your own combinations by choosing a note with your left hand and tapping different notes with the right hand.

Reverse the previous process: tap one note with your right hand while hammering up and down with your left hand.

Experiment with different notes as in the previous two exercises.

This exercise uses all four fingers.

a) left hand only - hammering

b) right hand only - tapping

c) alternate between the two hands

d) play both hands simultaneously
