By taking the first, flattened third and fifth degrees of a C major scale, a C minor chord can be created.
For every type of chord there is a corresponding arpeggio. This means there are major, minor, augmented, diminished, dominant seventh and minor seventh arpeggios among others. The following example uses a C minor arpeggio which consists of the notes C, Eb and G which are the root, flattened third and fifth of a C minor chord.
Here is a bass line which makes use of a C minor arpeggio. Remember that as long as you play the correct notes for any arpeggio, these notes can be arranged in any order.
