Shuffie and Blues

The term Shuffle refers to the triplet pattern as illustrated in the hi-hat part of Example 56. Shuffle grooves are also categorised by their use of a strong backbeat (beats 2 and 4). The term Blues refers to music which relies harmonically upon the blues scale.
