Rap

Rap music has the following features:

  • Relies heavily upon sampling
  • Generally beats one and three are accented
  • Uses syncopation and anticipation
  • Possesses similarities to Funk and Rock

Note: Unless otherwise indicated, use a single stroke sticking (RLRL etc.) between the hi-hat and snare parts.

In this pattern, the right hand alternates between the hi-hat and the ride cymbal bell.
