Assembling the Flute

Lesson 3/35 | Study Time: 5 Min
Course: Flute for Kids
Assembling the Flute

Assembling the Flute

Before you begin playing the flute, you will need to know how to assemble it correctly. Begin by inserting the head joint into the middle joint with a gentle twisting motion. Align the mouth hole with the key on the middle joint as shown:

Attach the foot joint to the middle joint. Rotate it so that the middle of the first lever on the foot joint is opposite the end of the shaft on the middle joint as shown in the photo. The exact alignment of the parts on the flute is a personal thing. The positions given here are good guides, but you may wish to alter them slightly once you are more familiar with the flute.
