Without a doubt, the Lars Ulrich technique of heavy metal drumming took the world by storm, and can arguably be summed up in one word – triplets. In fact, it’s his trademark.

The speed with which he can execute triplets, and broken triplets on two bass drums is phenomenal.

Lars is a very physical drummer – fast, exciting and original. Whenever and wherever heavy metal drumming is being debated, the name Lars Ulrich will be at the top of the list – you can bet your triplets on it!
