Lead Guitar Pattern Two

Lead Guitar Pattern Two

All licks and solos used previously in this book were played within lead guitar pattern one. In this lesson you will be introduced to lead guitar pattern two which is positioned slightly higher on the fretboard than pattern one. Study the following diagram which illustrates lead guitar pattern two in the key of G. Attention should be given to the position of lead guitar pattern two in relation to pattern one.

Example 45 ascends lead guitar pattern two from the sixth string to the first string. Special attention should be given to the suggested left hand fingering.

Now try Example 46 which descends lead guitar pattern two.
