INTRODUCTION

Lesson 2/48 | Study Time: 5 Min
Course: Rock Keyboard
INTRODUCTION

This book will introduce you to all the essentials of Rock keyboard playing. The book is aimed at the player who has some basic knowledge of keyboard playing and wants to learn how to play Rock. A good primer to this book would be Progressive Beginner Piano.

All the essential ingredients of Rock keyboard playing are introduced over the course of this book. All examples are recorded (see the front of this book for more details) and are fun to play as well as being authentic sounding and informative. Anyone who completes this book will have a good grasp of a variety of Rock keyboard styles and will be able to make some great sounds in a fairly short time. The best and fastest way to learn is to use this book in conjunction with:

  • Buying sheet music and song books of your favourite recording artists and learning to play their songs.
  • Practicing and playing with other musicians. You will be surprised how good a basic keyboard/drums/bass/guitar combination can sound even when playing easy music.
  • Learning by listening to your favourite CD’s.

Also in the early stages, it is helpful to have the guidance of an experienced teacher. This will also help you keep a schedule and obtain weekly goals.
