This example uses the root position, first inversion, second inversion, and an octave of the root position of the F chord.
By using inversions it is possible to find different chords very close to each other on the keyboard. Example 14 makes use of some practical inversions for playing the chords C, F and G. Beginning with a root position C chord. The F chord is a second inversion and the G chord is a first inversion.
