Two Octave C Major Scale

As well as the Blues scale, it is important to be able to play the major scale in more than one register. The following example shows the C major scale over two octaves. Try playing it with your eyes closed and say the names of the notes to yourself as you play.

This example demonstrates a melody which uses the higher octave of the C major scale.

Here is an exercise to help you become more familiar with all the notes over two octaves.
