Until now, the strums have been written above each measure of music. To make things easier, you can play the same strums for each measure, even if there are different chords. This is called a strum pattern. In the following song, there are two strums in every measure. The strum pattern looks like this:

To make all songs sound finished, always end with one strum of the first chord. The following songs contain all the notes and chords you have played so far. First learn each song by playing the notes. Then play the chords as you sing or hum the song. You can practice playing both parts separately with the band on the recording.
