Rhythm Symbols
The following rhythm symbols will appear throughout this book.
Down-strum
Strum all strings within chord, using a downward motion.
Up-strum
Strum the first 2-3 strings using an upward motion.
Miss
Miss the strings on a downward motion.
Short Down-strum
Strum only 2-3 strings of chord, using a downward motion.
Right Hand Damp
Mute strings with right hand while strumming.
