This Twelve Bar Blues verse mixes Swinging Blues Based Rhythm 1 and Swinging Rhythm Pattern 1 from Lesson Sixteen, and uses more notes than the previous blues. It features a standard rock and blues turnaround in the last bar. Use chords and single notes as desired when you play this, and notice the mixture of clear single notes and two note chords (especially the 34i in place of the 3i), as demonstrated on the recording.
Notice the use of a train-like rhythm within the format of a Twelve Bar Structure, using the Swinging Rhythm Pattern 1 and the Blues Based Rhythm 2 from Lesson Sixteen.
This verse uses a similar rhythm pattern to the previous verse, but with a more complicated set of notes that will help you to prepare for Blues songs based on the second position Blues Scale, which will be described in detail in Lesson Twenty One.
Although somewhat similar in its notes to the Basic Boogie Woogie in Lesson Ten, this one uses a swing beat, some added notes, and a new Blues Scale-based turnaround. Once again, note the mixture of single note and chords used in the recording, which adds more texture than single notes alone would permit.
