As mentioned previously there are many variations on the 16 bar Folk progression. The first of these variations inserts the I7 (G7) chord in the 4th bar and the V7 (D7) chord in the 13th bar. Try the following example in the key of G.

To play the previous 16 bar Folk progression variation in the key of D a D7 chord is needed. The following example also employs one of the new chords introduced in the previous lesson, A7 (V7). To make this progression sound finished end with one strum of the D chord.
