Call and Response
Notice how the right hand part answers the left hand part in the next example. This is often described as a call and response style of playing. Call and response is a central element in Funk which originally came from the Blues. Call and response may occur within a a piano part, or between two instruments, or between a singer and an instrumentalist.
This one is a bit more difficult, so take it slowly at first.
