Lesson 2/11 | Study Time: 5 Min
INTRODUCTION

This book, the Progressive Harmonica Supplementary Songbook, provides additional songs for the harmonica student who is using the Progressive Harmonica Method.

The songs of this book are divided into Parts One through Six. Part One contains the easiest songs, and Part Six the most difficult. A short description of the technical needs required by the songs in each part will be provided at the beginning of each part.

It is important to remember that your familiarity with a song makes it easier to play, regardless of which "Part" the song is in. Lack of familiarity with a song in Part One can render it far more difficult to play than a song in Part Two or even Part Three which is better known to you. Thus it is not necessary to play each song in Part One before continuing on to Part Two, and so on.

Although meant to be used as a supplement to the Progressive Harmonica Method, this book may if necessary also be used by itself, as a brief description of the notation system and necessary instrumental techniques will be presented in the following pages. However, to gain the most benefit from this book, it should be used in conjunction with the Progressive Harmonica Method.

If using this book in conjunction with the Progressive Harmonica Method, go directly to the songs of Part One now. Otherwise, go on to the following page.
