Lesson 2/16 | Study Time: 5 Min
INTRODUCTION

This book is designed to help the drummer master Triplets and Paradiddles, not just on the Snare Drum, but all around the entire kit.

This easy step by step method of introducing accents from both hands on all of the drums,is an ideal way to improve your overall technique and help you develope ideas for your own fIlls and solos.

Working through this book and the, "AllAround the Drums C.D." either with a professional teacher, or by your self, will assist you in becomming a more fluent and dynamic player. The flrst section in this book concists of four lessons containing progressive triplet patterns, followed by a short solo, combining those patterns at the end of each lesson.

The second section concists of two lessons containing progressive paradiddle patterns, followed by a short solo, combining those patterns at the end of each lesson.

The third section concists of nine different paradiddle forms and combinations, followed by four patterns for each of those combinations.

For an introduction to basic drumrning for the beginner see, "Introducing Drums" by Steve Shier.

For many more patterns and solos see, " Introducing Beats Fills and Solos" by Steve Shier. Please note that it is important to keep your drum kit in tune and sounding great. For correct tuning methods see, " How To Tune The Drums " also by Steve Shier.
