Another common chord type is the minor chord. Minor chords are often described as having a "sadder" or more intense sound than major chords. Shown here are three basic minor chord shapes. As with previous chords, memorize each shape and then practice changing between them. Once you are comfortable with them, try example 54 which uses all three shapes.

Here are some examples using these chord shapes. Example 55 also contains the chords C and G. Try visualising the chord shapes in your mind before playing them. In time this will make chord playing a lot easier, because you will have a clear picture of exactly where your fingers are meant to land on the fretboard.
