The note F is written in the first space of the staff.
As demonstrated in the diagram, the note F requires the use of both the left and right hands. This may take some time to gain control of, so take the following examples slowly at first and be patient. Your co-ordination will improve with practice. You will notice that your third and fourth fingers on the right hand are covering double holes. It is important to cover both holes with each finger in order to get the correct sound.
Learn this song from memory and then play it with your eyes closed. Visualize the fingerings for the notes as you play them.
Here are two more pieces which make use of the note F. Take them slowly at first and listen carefully the notes as you play them. Make sure all the notes are even in tone and volume.
