Around the Drums With Triplets

In Progressive Rock, Jazz & Funk Drumming (Book One), triplets were first introduced. The following eighth note triplet exercises are designed to give the student practice in playing around the drum kit. These exercises help develop techniques for improvisation when playing Fills and Solos. The sticking used in these exercises is Hand to Hand i.e: (R L R L R L, etc.) To make reading easier, the triplet sign has been deleted. Play each exercise at least 20 times.
