As with the previous sections of this book, now use the latest licks you have learned in a solo. This next solo features licks 40, 48 and 50. Once again the example given has been shown in the key of E but remember this solo may also be played in open D tuning.

The final solo in this section is played over a sixteen bar ragtime progression. Two new chords have been introduced in bars 12 and 13. Some of the other chord licks have been chosen from the previous chord licks section.
