Root 5 Minor Bar Chord

Root 5 Minor Bar Chord

Am

The Root 5 minor chord shape is based upon the open A minor (Am) chord shape.

These three root 5 minor chord shapes are used in the following chord progressions.

Bm

C#m

Em

The following chord progression uses a mixture of root 6 and root 5 chord shapes.

Rhythm Pattern

The next two chord progressions use a "Reggae" rhythm. Whereas Rock rhythms place the emphasis on the first and third beats, Reggae rhythms place the emphasis on the second and fourth beats.

Practice each chord progression and rhythm pattern separately at first, then combine them once you are confident playing both.
