The Keyboard
The black keys always appear in groups of two or three. The C note is a white key. It is always on the left hand side of a group of two black keys.
How to Find Middle C
The first note you will learn to play is Middle C. Middle C is the note in the middle of the keyboard. This is usually the third C note from the left hand side. On some smaller keyboards, Middle C is the second C note from the left. Play Middle C with your right hand thumb.
Fingers
The left and right hand fingers are numbered as shown here.
The thumb of each hand is counted as the first finger and has the number 1.
