What is the pattern of tones and semitones for a major scale?

 

For the following keys, which note is meant by the following scale degrees? Don’t forget to include the appropriate flats and sharps.

  • B major scale (degree 5)
  • C major scale (degree 5)
  • F major scale (degree 3)
  • G major scale (degree 3)
  • Ab major scale (degree 6)
  • Eb major scale (degree 6)
  • Db major scale (degree 7)
  • Gb major scale (degree 7)

Write the following major scales on the treble staff, ascending and descending: G major, F sharp major, A major and G flat major. Don’t forget the treble clef sign, time signature and bar lines.
