The D Form

Lesson 2/52 | Study Time: 5 Min
The D Form

The D Form

The next fingering for the pentatonic scale is the D form.

Run up and down the scale a few times until you are comfortable with it.

The D form is so named because its root notes are in identical positions to those of a D shape basic chord: one on the 4th string and one on the 2nd string.

Here is another 12 Bar Blues solo, this time using the D form of the scale. We are still in the key of A but using the same notes in the new position.
