Moving Between Forms

As well as using the two sliding scale patterns it is possible to slide between the forms using any note of the scale.

Here are some licks in various forms, often moving between one form and the next - either up or down. Remember, we are now in the key of G so everything will be down 2 frets from where it was in A.

Notice how many of the licks are variations on the first one. Repetition and variation is a very useful technique for varying your phrasing while keeping good continuity between your ideas.
