Lesson 2/52 | Study Time: 5 Min
The G Form

The G Form

The final fingering of the pentatonic scale is the G form. After it, the E form is repeated. In the key of A, the G form can be played in the 14th position or the 2nd position. Here it is shown in the 2nd position.

In any G form scale or chord, the root notes are on the 6th, 3rd and 1st strings.

Here is a solo in the G form. The control between the first and third fingers is important here, especially with the pull offs on the first 3 strings. Also, note the repeated use of the root note (A) in different octaves.
