Like all chords, dominant 7ths can be played as arpeggios. The following example demonstrates each inversion of an A7 chord and then a 3 octave arpeggio covering all inversions of the chord.
Once you are comfortable playing 7th chords around the cycle, try using them as chord V of a key when harmonizing melodies and creating parts. Here is an example played in the key of C and then transposed to Eb. Notice also the use of a sus4 (suspended) chord in these examples. These chords are discussed in the following lesson.
