The following examples are three variations of the same chord progression. The 1st example uses chord notes only, the 2nd uses chord notes and scale tone notes; and the 3rd uses additional chromatic notes in combination with the chord notes and scale tone notes. Note that all the chords are Dominant sevenths, except in bar 9. The following examples use chord notes only.
