The Note F

The note F is written in the first space of the staff.

Play the F note with the fourth finger of your right hand.

To play this song, play bars 1 to 8 twice, as indicated by the repeat sign, then play bar 9.

The Quarter Rest

This symbol is a quarter rest. It indicates one beat of silence. Do not play any note. Remember that small counting numbers are placed under rests.

Play the G note with the fifth finger of your right hand.

The note G is written on the second line of the staff.
