Ragtime Songs - Fingerpicking a Melody

Another popular technique is to incorporate a melody into a chord progression. It is possible to combine many of the chords and techniques studied throughout the book with a melody line to a popular tune. Hello My Baby is an old ragtime song from the beginning of the last century. Notice that the melody is played on the first three strings. This is essential in order to add the bass line and fingerpicking patterns later.
