12 Bar Blues

The following solo is based on a 12 bar Blues progression. This is a pattern of chords which repeats in a 12 bar cycle. This progression is common in many styles of music including Blues, Rock, Country, Soul and Funk. It has been used in countless popular songs and is common at jam sessions.
