Notes on the Sixth String

The Root Six Major bar chord can be played at any fret though the name of the chord will depend on which note the first finger is fretting on the sixth string. In order to determine exactly where a certain chord must be played it will be necessary to know the notes on the sixth string. The diagram below illustrates the notes on the sixth string and gives three examples of the Root Six Major bar chord.
