Determination Rag

The next solo is a "Rag", a style of music from the Ragtime era. Ragtime originated from the American south at the turn of the last century. Although the tunes were written for piano and ragtime bands, the music is often adapted to the guitar.

Determination Rag is played in the key of C Major and consists of three different sections.

Most of the chords used in this solo are played in the open position. Each chord shape used in the solo and the suggested fingering is shown in the following diagrams.
