Playing notes: Carefully observe all right hand and left hand fingering, and keep the right hand steady in correct position (refer to photos 10 and 11).
A lead-in note (refer to lesson Seven) is used, commencing on the "and" section of the second beat, as indicated by the count in.
In the second half of the study leave the 4th finger on the G note (first string) until bar 15. The 4th finger is acting as a pivot. A pivot finger is one which remains in position while the other fingers move. It is a very important technique, making many pieces easier to play.
