In the key of F the tonic (I), sub-dominant (IV) and dominant 7th (V7) chords are F, Bb and C7 respectively.
*Bb is used rather than A# because in major scales it is incorrect to use the same letter twice.
In the following arpeggio exercise, maintain the first finger bar when changing from the F to Bb chords.
Playing notes: This minuet features a modulation from F major to C major in the B section as indicated by the natural notes (instead of Bb) and the C chord at the end of the section (bars 12 and 13).
Note the use of the full bar in the second ending.
Playing notes: In bars 9-10 the slide technique is used by the 4th and 1st fingers. Observe all fingerings and be careful with your timing.
Playing notes: English Country Gardens is played moderato, meaning a moderate pace. It will be quite hard at first, so practice SLOWLY, isolating the difficult passages.
Playing notes: Etude in F is an excellent study for left hand techniques, as it involves extensive barring and some difficult stretches.
