PLAYING NOTES: This piece features extensive use of the half bar, as indicated on the music If you compare bars 1 and 5 of part 1, you will notice that they contain the same notes (a D chord arpeggio) but have different fingerings.
In bar 1 the D chord is played using the first, second and third fingers (as previously studied), whereas in bar 5 it is played with a half-bar, which is carried over from the previous two bars. For ease of playing you will sometimes alter the fingering of a chord in this manner.
In bars 7 and 15 of part 1 the E note is played on the second string at the 5th fret, as indicated by @ and in bars 8 and 16 of part 2 the D note is played on the fifth string at the 5th fret, indicated by %
