Everything you have played so far has involved either strumming chords or picking one string at a time. However, as a guitar player, it is important to be able to play one, two, three, four, five or six strings together at any given moment, regardless of whether you are playing with a pick or right hand fingers. The example below uses the 1st and 2nd strings together and then the 2nd and 3rd strings together. All the notes here are played with downstrokes (even the 8th notes).
