Many riffs and licks are created from a variety of sources rather than just one scale. Usually, a person finds a combination of notes that sound good rather than thinking of right or wrong notes and particular scales.
The following examples are riffs which contain notes from all the scales you have learnt, including the chromatic scale which contains all possible notes. Experiment with combining different scales and concentrating purely on what you think sounds good.
Here is a more complex rhythm part made up of a bass line and partial chords. Practice it slowly and make sure that only the notes you want to play are sounding and no extra unwanted open strings are ringing. Be patient if you find this difficult at first.
